Connect To Your Inner Voice Meditation

Connect To Your Inner Voice Meditation

Today I would like to share a Connect to Your Inner Voice Meditation.

This 9 minute guided meditation will take you on a journey of knowing and trusting your intuition.

I will guide you through the meditation first and then run you through it again with a suggestion of what your choices may represent.

So settle yourself in a comfortable sitting position, take a few nice deep breaths, notice any pockets of tightness in your body, and breathe into those areas, with the intention of letting that stress go as you prepare for a virtual walk through a forest.

(The guided meditation starts at 00.00.24 and a transcript is provided below the video should you wish to read it instead)

Connect To Your Inner Voice – Transcript

Imagine you are going towards a forest

Is it summer, autumn, winter or spring …………….

What noises do you hear, are there birds, insects, maybe the sound of leaves in a breeze,  twigs snapping, any animal noise ……

You come across a fence or a wall, what kind of fence to do you see,… what is beyond the fence … do you want to climb over it….

You meet a wild bear, what does this bear look like, how big is it …

You come across some water, notice what that water is, a river, a pond, a canal, the sea….

You notice a key, what colour is it, how big is it ……

You find a building, you enter and find a library, with a fire place with a welcoming fire burning.  You sit down in a comfy chair and close your eyes …. you get a message, just listen and trust the first thing that comes to mind

Now I will take you through it again as a reminder of what occurred to you and what it possibly represents for you

Imagine you are approaching a forest……

Is it summer, autumn, winter or spring …………….

this represents you and how you are feeling at the moment.  Autumn might represent a time for reflection for you on what’s going on in your life, possibly needing some courage to prepare you for the winter, and winter might be a time, to be ready for positive change, new ideas and inspiration, and then spring is filled with hope of how these new ideas might blossom in your life, and summer brings the joy from all the fruits of the past seasons, so to speak, filling us with hope.

Now on to what noises do you hear

Are there birds, insects, maybe the sound of leaves in a breeze,  twigs snapping, any animal noise …… this is how noisy your life is at the moment, is it just one thing that’s driving your life, or many, are they annoying or joyful, which might beg a question of how much time are you taking for yourself…..

And then you come across a fence or maybe it’s a stone wall…
what is beyond the fence … do you want to climb over it…….

The fence or wall represents the obstacles you put in your way, so if it is a stone or brick wall it might be more difficult to get over it and you might need to build a style to get over it, or find a ladder of sorts…… or if it’s a wire fence it might be easy to get over, both represent the kind of obstacles you put in your way…..and if you see fields in the distance, this can mean that you overcome your obstacles fairly easily

You come across some water, what kind of water is it, is it a river, a pond, a canal, the sea….

This represents emotion and love, if you swim in it, you are adventurous and trusting, if you only put your feet in it or if you got completely wet, or something in between, is how deeply you immerse yourself in your relationships, how vulnerable you are prepared to be, in also how trusting you are to bare your soul.

Next you notice a key, what colour is it, how big is it ……

this represents opportunities, what kind of opportunity, and the colours…

Green might be new beginnings, abundance and being healthy. If it’s blue, it will be about being calm, responsible,  or maybe some sadness. If it’s purple, it’s how creative you are, what wisdom you have, or how spiritual you are. And if its black … it’s about mystery, elegance, or perhaps ill intent. Orange represents energy, balance, enthusiasm, or perhaps demanding attention.

You meet a wild bear….

this represents strength, family, vitality, courage and health.  The bear is thoughtful and independent, with little need for fellowship. The bear is also self-contained and strong-willed in nature. The size  of the bear depends on how much strength, courage and health you show to the world, how much independence you have, and how thoughtful you are, and how happy you are to be alone.

Then you find a building, you enter and find a library, with a fire place with a welcoming fire burning.

You sit down in a comfy chair and close your eyes …. you get a message, just listen and trust the first thing that comes to mind…this might come as a knowing, a gut instinct, an answer about something that has been bothering you.  You might just get an essence of support, and feeling of ‘being really okay within your skin’

So just savour all of that, let it land, feel the expansion of your experience, and when you are ready you can open your eyes and bring your attention back to the day.
